Visit the outback art gallery inspired by the colours of Queensland
While the exhibits change every two months or so, you’ll always find the colours of Australia on display at Dogwood Crossing. Beautiful landscapes and the colourful stories of local people feature prominently.
See Australia through contemporary art installations, including the stunning seven-metre tall steel bottle trees, beautifully illuminated by night. Interactive stories of droughts and flooding rains and the water wall, celebrating our most precious commodity, remind us of the connections between art and real life.
Many of the exhibits have an eco flavour, celebrating the preservation of our precious countryside. Onsite at Dogwood Crossing you’ll find the outback gallery, as well as a library, IT centre (including free internet access) and function and meeting rooms. “It is a surprisingly modern and elite operation for a small town of only 1,500!”. ABC Online Miles is the go-to destination for flower lovers, too, located in the heart of the native wildflower region.
Attending the Toowoomba Festival of Flowers? Why not make a mini-break of it and head to Miles for a journey through Australia’s beautiful wildflower region? There’s no better way to take in the colours than from the comfort of an air-conditioned Bus Queensland coach, for more information on timetables and bus routes, head over to our routes page.
