Goondiwindi

In Goondiwindi you'll find its a vibrant, contemporary providing a unique and tranquil setting for one of Queensland's fastest growing communities. In late spring you'll see a breath-taking display as jacaranda trees lining the streets burst into full purple bloom.

Walk around the town you'll find the iconic Victoria Hotel, built in the era of Queen Victoria and then added to it the 1920s. The building features some of the most outstanding architecture in the region. Situated in the heart of the main street, you can't miss this old dame.

Be sure to also drop by the Gunsynd Statue located near the original Border bridge. It commemorates the famous 'Goondiwindi Grey' - a racehorse that went on to win 29 races including the Cox plate and the four big mile races.
